- convertflora. Flowers from July to September. With velvety, reddish purple stems, smooth, bright green new foliage that matures to a textured dark green, and fuzzy, vermilion flowers, this Brazilian native is lush and tantalizing. Hardy. Prefers full sun, in ordinary moist but well drained soil. Requires a warm, protected position.
- dolichantha. Flowers from July to August. Silver underside to leaves, branching sprays of large pale mauve flowers. Fully Hardy. Prefers full sun, in ordinary soil.
