- clevlandii. Flowers from May to June. `Blue Sage´ - very fragrant sage, bright blue flowers in late spring and early summer. Hardy. Prefers full sun, in ordinary soil.

With velvety, reddish purple stems, smooth, bright green new foliage that matures to a textured dark green, and fuzzy, vermilion flowers, this Brazilian native is lush and tantalizing. Hardy. soft deep purple flowers protruding from fuzzy purple bracts in late summer born
on stems covered in soft white 'fur'. If frosted it will die back, re-growing in spring. Hardy. Prefers full sun, in ordinary moist but well drained soil. Requires a warm, protected position.

- patens. Flowers from July to September. Fabulous vivid blue flowers over spear shaped foliage. Half
hardy - treat like a dahlia and either dig up the tuberous roots and store in a
frost free place over winter or mulch well. Prefers full sun, in rich well drained soil.
