- aquifolium. Flowers from April to May. Shrub with dark evergreen holly-like leaves and fluffy yellow flowers, which are followed by blue berries. Fully Hardy. Prefers light shade, in ordinary soil.
- suaveolens `Chilean Jasmine´. Beautiful climber producing highly fragrant white trumpet shaped flowers. At its best in a conservatory but can do well outside against a warm sheltered wall. Half hardy. Plant in ordinary moist but well drained soil.
- x asarina `Magic Dragon´. Flowers from July to October. Fast growing climber, hardy in most places, producing trumpet shaped flowers, 2-3 ins long in shades of deep pink to red.
