LAVATERA                                       

- rosea. Flowers from June to October. Shrub with blue-green foliage and fairly large frilly edged mauve-pink flowers, borne in profusion. Fully Hardy. Plant in ordinary soil.

LIGULARIA

- dentata `Desdemona´. Flowers from July to August. Large rounded leaves with a picotee edge and yellow, daisy-like flowers. Hardy. Prefers light shade, in rich moisture retaining soil.

- stenocephala `The Rocket´. Flowers from July to August. Large triangular leaves with an irregular edge and spires of yellow flowers. Hardy. Prefers light shade, in rich moisture retaining soil.

LOBELIA

Lobelia_Cardinalis_Queen_Victoria.jpg (20801 bytes) - cardinalis `Queen Victoria´. Flowers from July to August. Deep red leaves and stems topped off with brilliant cardinal red flower. Does well in moist conditions. Fully Hardy. Plant in ordinary moisture retaining soil.

- tupa. Flowers from July to October. Downy grey-green leaves and spikes of lipped, brick red flowers. Hardy. Prefers full sun, in rich moist but well drained soil.
